WATERCOLOUR (or Reproduction) "Victorian"

Inscriptions: Signed and dated: "W. Forster / 6/88", lower left corner in red watercolour. "Victorian" on hull. Subject Matter: Single funnel steamship, yellow and black top. Flying white flag, blue cross, red star? and red ensign. Steamship in distance has red funnel with black top. Sail off coast - white cliffs. Biography: A watercolour by W. Forster is included in the South Australian Index of Historic Pictures, therefore this is probably a watercolour. Other: Built 1876 D. & W. Henderson & Co., Glasgow. Owners, Adelaide Steamship Company, registered Port Adelaide. Registration transferred to Sydney May 1893. Gutted by fire 1895, converted to coal hulk, scuttled 1925.
