Oval brass engraved snuff box with hinged lid.
Engraved to lid; Australian coat of arms (unofficial). Shield in centre quartered by cross of St George, with sailing ship, sheep, wheat sheaf and anchor to each quarter. Emu to left side of shield and kangaroo with cigarette in its mouth to right. Scroll to bottom of shield with the words 'ADVANCE AUSTRALIA'. Above the shield to the left is a heart with an arrow and to the right a skull. Above the shield in the centre is what appears to be the symbol of the Rising Sun.
