CHEST, Iron Bound, Locke Family

[.1] chest; rectangular iron chest with hinged lid. Elaborately decorated imitation keyhole at front of chest; actual keyhole concealed in lid. Intricate locking system spans interior of lid, comprising a series of levers and springs activated by a lock which has 13 bolts. Five hinges connect the lid to the main body of the chest, and two large hasps allow the lid to be secured with padlocks when closed. Two large handles are attached to either side of the chest.
