White. All machine sewn. Boat neck trimmed with embroidered strip, same on armholes. Fastens at front with one fabric covered metal button. Front opening covered with white embroidery strip with same embroidery as frill all around (doesn't match neck and arm embroidery). Only slightly gathered into neckband. Labels at back of neck, in red: 'QUALITY/ PERMAWEAR/ GUARANTEED' and 'O.S.' (same as CH.1979.83). Ref. A. Buck, 'Victorian Costume & Costume Accessories'.
