PLANE, Rabbet
H1989.214
Skew rabbet plane, wood, with flat sole. Gracefully curved shavings aperture. There are many holes in the sole indicating where fillets have been nailed to act as a fence. The iron extends the full width of the plane. A pin like a drawing pin is attached to the front edge of the plane. It's use is not apparent. 'J UTTING' has been stamped on the front and back edges of the plane.
