Former Kalgoorlie Mining Associates property. Used to measure depths of shafts. Yellow plastic reel of calibrated wire. Hole in centre of reel, 8 holes surrounding centre, 4 square apertures in rim. Centre hole has friction marks, suggesting reel can be attached to winding mechanism. Has maker's label which is no longer legible.
