DRESS, silk, with hair bow accessories, and original coathanger, Dorothy Erickson
H2015.111.1-5
French silk paisley pattern dress 1959 (green, blue, white); with matching hair bow, plus two additional bows, aqua and yellow on tortoiseshell haircombs, with original plastic? coathanger.
[3] Yellow ribbed cotton overlayed with nylon ribbon hair bow wired to tortoiseshell haircomb. The bow is a double bow, wired in the centre to hold its shape. The nylon ribbon has scalloped edges. The wire appears to have been wrapped in a now frayed fabric/thread cover. Nylon ribbon has some small stains on the right side, otherwise in overall good condition.
[4] Blue nylon ribbon hair bow tied to brown plastic hair comb. Blue ribbon has scalloped edging and either end has been cut to an inverted-V. The bow has been tied with blue thread to a small brown plastic haircomb. Blue ribbon is slightly discoloured in places, but overall good condition.
