DANCE COSTUME, green bodice, gold flower inspired skirt with matching cap
[.1] COSTUME. Pale green, satin, sleeveless bodice with V neck, front and back, lined with fine, white calico. Three hooks and eyes fasten the back, which is finished at the top with a small green and yellow bow. The skirt is comprised of a series of orange-gold, wired, elogated tear-shaped, silk "petals" dyed at the ends. These are arranged in overlapping layers to the waist of the bodice. 'Dolly Ashton' is written in cursive script in pencil on the inside front of the bodice. Two elastic bands are adhered on each side of the waist on the inside seam line
[.2] CAP. Circular, flat cap of overlapping, dyed, orange-gold, silk petals, sewn onto a circular mesh base.A long yellow ribbon is sewn to one side and a long green ribbon on the other. 'DOLLY ASHTON' written in pencil is faintly visible on the mesh base.
