MONOGRAMMED LOVE TOKEN, UK Threepence coin

This silver threepence coin has been smoothed on the reverse so that no pattern remains visible. The obverse and size identify it as a threepence coin, it might be Maundy money. The obverse features a Veiled and Draped bust of Queen Victoria, and the lettering 'VICTORIA DEI GRA BRITT REGINA FID DEF IND IMP'. This portrait of Queen Victoria also identifies a date range for coin production. The inititals 'JJR' have been engraved in script onto the reverse of the coin and it has been holed at the top, suggesting it was used as some form of jewellery.
