CUP & SAUCER
H1989.1071.a-b
White cup and saucer, each with a line of grey at the rim which is edged both sides with a fine band of gold. Both bear the imprint of a flag in grey, at the centre of which is a diamond with a large letter 'S'; beneath, is a scroll reading 'AUSTRALIAN/ PROPRIETARY LTD/ STEAMSHIPS'. On the base of each, a crown is depicted and the words 'DUNN BENNET & CO. LTD./ ROYAL VICTORIA POTTERY./ BURSLEM. / ENGLAND'. [.b] also printed on the base of the saucer is 'SPECIALITY UNCHIPPABLE/ SURFACE DINNER PLATES.'.
