BOTTLE LIDS (4)

H1989.884.a-d

Round replacement lids for beer or soft drink bottles. All have wire around the bottom edge which form a hook at each end. A twist of wire is folded around the hooks so that when it is pushed down it draws the edges of the lid tight, and releases when it is lifted up.
[.a], [.b]&[.d] Painted yellow with the following in black paint: 'KORK-N-SEAL/ HOME USE/ PRESS/ DOWN/ FIRMLY'. A disc of rubber sits inside the lid and holes have been cut in the metal of the top of the lid.
[.c] Gold metal coloured. No rubber seal.
