a. Projector for 8 mm or 16 mm film with a retractable handle on top and an interchangeable lens marked "EUPRONAR f=2.5CM 1:1.4 158 886 EUMIG WIEN". At the back there is an inlet power plug, two tilting screws and a switch marked "+ / -" to regulate the projection lamp intensity. At the top, an affixed metal plate reads "EUMIG / W55 / V240 / 26.3" and another below the spool arms, "EUMIG / MADE IN AUSTRIA / NO 161182". On the base platform, is a plate with switches marked "VITE / FAST / VELOCE / LIGERO / SCHNELL" and "ARRIERE / BACK / INDIETRO / ATRAS / RUCKLAUF" (regulator for projector speed), "BACK" and "FORWARD" (English only, switch for forward and reverse motion), and "OFF / ON" (English only, switch for motor and projection lamp). There is a top and bottom sprocket to facilitate movement of the film from the top spool through to the lower, past the lens. At the side, alongside an affixed metal plate reading "EUMIG", is a lever to operate a still picture device. There are two, yellow, rubber, drive pulleys. b. Spool arms which open out and screw into the body of the projector to support the two spools. Spring belts attach to the pulleys on the arms to drive the apparatus. c. Spool on which film can be wound, with a black central section and five heavy wire brackets joined to make the outer sides. The centre is open with three slots so that the spool can be clipped onto the spool arm; the central section is marked "EUMIG" within a border and, below, "MADE IN AUSTRALIA". d. Home-made plywood case stained dark brown, with four metal studs at each corner of the base, a carry handle on top and a hinged, flip-back lid secured by three metal catches. On the inside front panel is a pencil drawing of a sideboard with a central bank of drawers. The case contains the projector and all accessories. e. Red, white and navy cardboard box with ends and sides marked "OSRAM / PROJECTOR / LAMP" and on various sides, "THE GENERAL / ELECTRIC CO.LTD / OF ENGLAND", "A / G.E.C. / PRODUCT", MADE IN ENGLAND" and "BRITISH QUALITY PRODUCT". Pencilled on the side is "36/-" and within a plain, white square at the top, "250V 300W / PREFOCUS / A1/154". The globe inside is packed in a corrugated cardboard sleeve, and is intact. The glass is marked "G.E.C. LTD / 38 / OSRAM / 250V 300W / MADE IN ENGLAND / BURN VERTICALLY / CAP DOWN" while the metal has "A1/154"; it has a black cap painted at one end. f. Red, green-blue, grey and white box marked on all sides, "PHILIPS" with two illustrations of projection lamps (bulbs). The bulb inside is protected by a cardboard sleeve. The projection lamp is elongated with a black cap and marked "G.E.C.LTD / 4421 / OSRAM / 250V 260W / MADE IN ENGLAND / BURN VERTICALLY / CAP DOWN". A leaflet on precautions for use was enclosed. g. Electric cord with two bakelite plugs to connect the machine and the power supply. h. Lens and spectacle cleaning cloth in cardboard folder marked "CLEANS LENSES . STOPS MISTING / CALOTHERM / IMPREGNATED / CLOTH / KEEPS SPECTACLES CRYSTAL CLEAR / FOR OPTICAL AND PHOTOGRAPHIC LENSES". The directions advise that dust should be removed from enlarger lenses with a soft brush before applying the cloth which can be used over and over until it is badly soiled. The cloth is cream coloured and has pinked edges. i. Black covered cardboard box with orange, white and black sticker reading "TRADE MARK" (with "J" and "S" entwined under set of pharmacy scales), "JOHNSON / UNIVERSAL / PROJECTOR SERVICE KIT / FOR USE WITH JOHNSON AUTOSCOPE, OPTISCOPE / AND ALL TYPES OF PROJECTOR / MADE IN ENGLAND / JOHNSONS OF HENDON LONDON, ENGLAND". Inside, there is a series of cardboard dividers for kit components. j. Rust brown painted, elongated, metal oil can with gold label reading "JOHNSONS OF HENDON / TRADE MARK" ("J" and "S" coupled under pharmacy scales). k. Red handled paintbrush used for cleaning lenses and marked "MADE IN ENGLAND / 6 / JOHNSONS OF HENDON LTD". l. Short handled brush, red plastic, with a wedge at its end and with a long, "U"-shaped wire supporting short, stiff bristles Handle is lettered "JOHNSONS OF HENDON / MADE IN ENGLAND". m. Clear glass bottle with orange plastic lid and marked on its base, "12 / 10872". Label reads "SCALES BRAND (with emblem of pharmacy scales) / UNIVERSAL / LENS CLEANING SOLUTION / JOHNSONS OF HENDON LTD. / HENDON, LONDON, ENGLAND." Contains clear fluid. n. Clear glass bottle with orange lid and amber coloured fluid. Base is marked "12 / 1087". Main label reads "SCALES BRAND" (with emblem of pharmacy scales) / UNIVERSAL / LUBRICATING OIL / JOHNSONS OF HENDON LTD. / HENDON, LONDON, ENGLAND." o, p. Soft square cloths with pinked edges and printing around all four sides reading "WASH WHEN SOILED / SPECTACLE AND EYE GLASS CLEANER / A POLISHING CLOTH / REGISTERED SELVYT TRADE MARK / MADE IN ENGLAND / SUPERIOR TO CHAMOIS LEATHER". Within brown square border lines, o. is marked "JOHNSON LENS POLISHER" while p. reads "JOHNSON GATE POLISHER". q. Soft cloth with two fine red stripes along its width.
