[.1-2] Large cream linen pillowcase, hand embroidered 'DS' in cream coloured silk? thread. Long, symmetrical pull-thread work pattern, made up of square shapes, sits underneath initials; each square contains spoked-wheel pattern of thread. Closed end is finished with W35mm lace insertion, attached to linen fabric on front & back, which is hemmed with single row of ladder hem stitch, 20mm from lace. All added detail is on closed end of pillowcase. Open end has no overlap.
