White. Machine-made net with large insertion at neck of lace at neck, extending to narrow standing collar at back. Lace composed of hand-worked bobbin tape linked with plaited threads. Pattern outlined in heavier thread. Edges hemmed by hand. No fastenings. Known as dickey or fill-in.
