The picture is comprised of three photographs. The largest is situated in the middle of the frame followed by two small oval single photographs, one on each side. The main photograph depicts the Executive Branch of the Waterside Workers Federation of Australia (Fremantle Branch). There are 9 men, in suits, (5 seated , 4 standing) The Backdrop consists of two large pillars, one on each side, with a blank wall in the middle . The two oval photographs show, in each photo, one man, (portrait style). The photographs are covered with glass, and surrounded by a dark wooden border, with a thin border of gold frame lining the inside of the glass. The text on the cardboard reads 'Fremantle Branch Executive/ Waterside Workers Federation of Australia/ 1954/ Mercia Glynn Studio. Back row: T. Black, T. Goldie, E. Delphin, L.Coward,/ Front row: G. Harris (Secretary). J. Cooper (Vice president), R. Errington (President),/ L. Cockle (Vice President), R. Thompson./
INSETS: C. Black [left] (VIGILANCE OFFICER), G. Steinfield [Right] (TREASURER). The back of the frame is covered with what appears to be new cardboard and adhesive tape. Two metal hooks secure a string for hanging.
