This full length evening dress is made from purple silk satin. The dress has a plunging v neckline and
halter. The v shape is replicated through the back of the garment. Both the front and back are
decorated with a self-fabric, braided applique. The bodice is fitted. The flared skirt has godets sewn
into the side seams to create extra fullness, and features a train through the back. The closure is
an invisiblezip in the proper left side seam. From under the bust, the dress is lined in a sheer,
tonal polyester fabric.
History:
This style was shown at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week (RAFW) in Sydney in 2008. A black
version of this dress featured in the Curtin 'House of Tarvydas' (HOT) exhibition in 2008.
