Dress, ivory silk, v-neck, sleeveless style with bejewelled detail featuring faux pearls, '3952 sea serpent', designed by 'Ruth Tarvydas', Perth, Western Australia, SS14.

The full length evening dress is made of ivory silk satin. The dress is sleeveless and features a plunging

v- shaped neckline. Sections through the back of the garment have been cut away, leaving a

central panel. This panel has been attached to the skirt asymmetrically and the fabric is gathered

at this point. The back feature is embellished with crystals and faux pearls. A diagonal split begins

at the end of the appliqued panel and includes a godet. The closure is four plastic press studs

through the centre back of the garment. Fully lined with white sheer polyester/spandex. 

History: 

This dress was part of Ruth Tarvydas' 'Sea Mermaid' collection of Spring/Summer 2014 (SS14) in

collaboration with Atlas Pearls. The garment features real pearls and retailed for a premium price.
