Dress, black polyester, one-shouldered with ruffle detail, fitted bodice and above-the-knee petal skirt, '3332 Antoinette', designed by 'Tarvydas', Perth, Western Australia, SS09
H2018.162
The evening dress is made from sheer black polyester. The dress has a fitted bodice with plastic boning,
and gathered fabric. Two shoulder straps extend from the back of the garment to meet a single strap
through the front. Decorative self fabric begins at the top of the shoulder strap; the fabric has been
doubled and sewn to create a 3-D effect which extends diagonally across the front of the bodice.
Clusters of coloured faux jewels have been appliqued and are interspersed with coiled brass chain
and strings of diamantes. The closure is an invisible zip in the left side seam. The full, short skirt
features four layers of appliqued 'petals' in self fabric. The skirts is lined in black opaque polyester.
