MEDAL Miniature Military Cross and Bar
W1983.26.c
Lieutenant Aarons awarded the Military Cross at Bullecourt 11 April 1917, and bar at Hebuterne in April 1918. King George V issue. Part of set of five miniatures worn with mess uniform or formal civilian evening dress. Medals are all fixed to a black felt-backed board which bears the manufacturer's label: "By Appointment / Chorleys / Sydney." The miniature medal cluster was attached to the uniform via a long brass pin running horizontally across the back. See File 144/71 for biographical details.
