Hamon: gonome/choji
Date: 1926-42
The stamp on the tang of this katana blade represents the Showa era, from 1926 until the present. The ‘sho’ mark was a stamp of acceptance on military blades. This blade was a standard issue for army officers of World War II. The signature reads: ‘Koshiyama Kaneyasu (made this)’.
