'STANLEY RULE & LEVEL CO' on knob on large screw on front of stock.
'No. 118' on stock, 'STANLEY/ pat Apl 19 92' on cutter.
'B' on other parts indicating L Bailey who took patents on all-metal planes in 1867, and acquired by the Stanley Rule and Level Co. in 1896.

This type of plane is used for smoothing curved surfaces. This Stanley plane is an improved version with hinged bars at heel and toe working through system of levers and toothed segments so that both ends are regulated the one large screw. Info. R.A. Salaman, Dictionary of Tools, pp. 315 & 364.
