A copper(bronze?) 1 Sol coin. The obverse features 'REPUBLIQUE FRANÇOISE·' and the table on the Chatre on the Law of Men, the writing has worn away completely. 'L'AN II' (Year II) is marked under this, the mintmarks 'grapes' a 'sheaf of grain' are either side of the table. The reverse features A balance in the middle of a crown of oak leaves with the lettering 'LIBERTE EGALITE'. A small arrow mintmark and dot are visible, and possibly a '3', which could indicate a printed date of 1793. The value of the coin is not visible. The coin has a smooth edge.
