A copper 2 sols coin. The obverse features a left profile of King Louis XVI, with the lettering 'LOUIS XVI ROI DES FRANÇOIS·'. The date and mintmark are barely visbile. The reverse features a Liberty cap above fasces, oak wreath in background with lettering 'LA NATION LA LOI LE ROI·', ' 2 S.' and '·L'AN 4 DE LA LIBERTE·'. The coin has a smooth edge.
