Two bronze 5 centimes coins. The design of these 2 coins is identical apart from the date. The obverse features a Laureate bust of Napoleon III facing left, encircled by dots; "NAPOLEON III EMPEREUR" is above between the dots and the coin edge, which has a border of dots and a smooth edge. Below the bust in the border the mintmarks an 'Anchor' and a 'Bee' are on either side of the date The designer Mintmark 'BARRE' is below the bust. The reverse features the lettering 'EMPIRE FRANÇAIS * CINQ CENTIMES *' within the pearled border, surrounding a Spread eagle facing right over rays with an 'A' mintmark underneath.
