Two bronze 5 centimes coins. The design of these 2 coins is identical apart from their mintmarks. The obverse features a Laureate bust of Napoleon III facing left, encircled by dots; "NAPOLEON III EMPEREUR" is above between the dots and the coin edge, which has a border of dots and a smooth edge. The designer Mintmark 'BARRE' is below the bust. The reverse features the lettering 'EMPIRE FRANÇAIS * CINQ CENTIMES *' within the pearled border, surrounding a Spread eagle facing right over rays.
[.1] Mintmarks: 'Anchor' and a 'Cross' on either side of the date on the obverse and a 'BB' under the Eagle on the reverse.
[.2] Mintmarks: 'Anchor' and a 'Pick & Shovel' on either side of the date on the obverse and an 'K' under the Eagle on the reverse.
