Grey cardboard covered paperback, pages open at spine and bound with two metal fittings. Printed at top right corner of cover ' DSN 7610-66-035-7506'. Cover features logo consisting of Crown and below a kangaroo image over two crossed swords. 'AUSTRALIAN ARMY/THE ENEMY/1970' and written in small type at base of front cover 'This Pamphlet supercedes DSN 7610-66-019-4164, The Enemy, 1964./RESTRICTED. The book contains ten chapters, five chapters in each of two parts on the Communist Insurgent Guerilla Units and Conventional forces. The third page has a name in pencil 'F. N. Beardmore' and the date '5.10.71' amendment No 1.
