NOTE, paper written by Honoria Anderson? ‘Frank’s spurs when he went in the 10th Light Horse/with the Anzacs to Egypt in the 1st World War./I thought you might like to have these. You may not/ know that he was one of the Originals of the 10th Light Horse./No-one was recruited under 6ft in height – all the/recruits – being of the countryman type equipped themselves/ and provided their own mounts. Of the old Colonial Type – it was quite a ‘Corps’. Unfortunately, all their horses/ had ro be shot in Egypt and They went to Gellapolli [sic] as infantrymen’.
