[1] Low heeled, shiny silver, leather, ‘Salamander’, women’s left evening shoe. Closed rounded toe, crossed cut-out design over top of foot, with open strap detail around front of ankle and silver clasp. Closed heel, with wide base of heel, tapering slim to floor. Double stitch border on cut-out and strap details. Inside shoe is light coloured leather upper and sole. ‘Salamander’ written in cursive under heel, sides of heel read (L-R); ‘Salamander’, ‘58591 7 ½ EI 13’. Underside of shoe is made of hard leather?, wood?, with rubber heel. ‘ PU/ 7 ½ E’ imprinted into arch of sole. Silver leather scuffed and worn on toe and sides, folded/creased all over, especially at edges where meets foot. Silver clasp hand-stitched/repaired. Sole worn on inside and underside of shoe. Rubber heel appears to have been re-heeled. Cloth support and stocking wrapping removed.

Sole worn on inside and underside of shoe, stress fractures under heel. . Rubber heel appears to have been re-heeled. More worn than left shoe [1]. Metal support and stocking wrapping removed.
[3] Shoe-shaped, hollow, black, metal, ‘”MERZ”’, shoe support. Pointed toe, wide arch to thin, adjustable section to rounded heel. Moulded toe section perforated with small holes, stamped with ‘5-7’ in top centre. Adjustable centre section has “MERZ” imprinted through centre, with curved hook to assist hinge removal from shoe, straight to rounded heel end. Top side of toe section rusted where paint has been chipped, white dirty marks cover right section in particular. Paint chipped all over top section of heel/middle. Underside in better condition, paint intact on toe (no obvious rusting), some white marks to underside of adjustable mid-section, with rusting to thin adjusters.
