DRESS, evening, black net, shot silk

[1] Dress, black net with oval design. Long, puff sleeved, flared/A-line skirt, sheer black, fine net, embroidered applique oval design on torso, elasticised ruched cuffs, zippered shoulders, evening dress. Peterpan style collar, with two scalloped, half-oval embroidered collar points. Two small ‘REINNADEL’ black metal zips from collar to set in sleeves, some black paint coming off zips. Large puff sleeves made of fine net, with elasticised, ruched cuffs. V-shaped, sheer net décolletage, bordered by small oval embroidered net and large embroidered oval applique, to waist. Waist seam breaks design, continues on torso, over hips. Oval embroidery ends at hips, stitched ruching with five oval applique sections on skirt side of hip seam. Sheer net, flared skirt with two seams down each leg to wide bottom hem. Some worn holes in net throughout fabric, especially set in sleeve, underarms and embroidered oval net. Reverse: mirrors front design. Large worn holes in net on left hip and waist, near side seam. Two think fabric belt loops on waist, left repaired with purple thread. Single centre seam down skirt from ruching near hips. Inside: Some pulled/long threads throughout, especially left cuff and ruching near hips. Hand repaired/finished back left hem.

[2] Petticoat, mauve, shot silk. Mid-length, flared, A-line skirt, mauve/light blue, shot silk, iridescent, petticoat for evening dress. Thin spaghetti straps, discoloured and stained, slightly rounded neck, pointed at straps and cut away to arms. Darts at bust to side seams and bust to waist seam. Yellowed staining under arms. Hand altered under arms, taken in. Wide, flared, A-line skirt, yellowed/rust spots in centre of skirt and right leg. Rust/dirty marks along hem. Some pulled threads/fabric in bodice, worn ‘pink’ patches on right, near side seam and left side seam, near hem. Reverse: Bodice divided into three panels to waist. Dull/stained patch on left hem, and centre bodice panel. Worn ‘pink’ patches/pulled threads around side seams and centre of hem. Inside: hem and side seams machine finished. Waist and bodice seams hand finished/overlocked. Two cream hanging tabs at waist/side seam. Bodice side seams frayed.

[3] Belt, wide, mauve, shot silk. Wide, tapered, mauve/light blue, shot silk, tie belt for evening dress. Pointed, angled, ends, wide to thin at centre of belt. Two diagonal seams at centre, one each side of fabric. Side seams machine finished, threads loose/gap in stitching, 80mm, just near centre of belt. Fabric in generally good condition. Dark rust patch the width of belt, near angled end. Lighter rust patch further up belt, on reverse side to first patch. Some small spots of discolouration/staining on opposite end of belt, both sides, sporadic, barely discernible against iridescent fabric.

[4] Belt, thin, black, velvet. Long, thin, black, velvet, waist tie belt. Ends frayed, some worn/pulled areas near ends. Reverse: creased.
