(.1) Head joint of wooden flute. Single hole at mouthpiece. One end of flute is closed, other end has metal ring fitted around end and metal tube inside, to fit into next piece of flut. Engraved in centre of piece in small letters "MONTAGUE BROS & CO/LONDON".
(.2) Middle joint of flute, with narrower metal pipe at both ends, to fit centre piece to head and foot joint. Metal keys padded mostly with white foam-like substance, some keys padded with green felt. "MONTAGUE BROS & CO/LONDON" engraved at top of joint.
(.3) Footjoint of flute. One key padded with cork, other two padded with white foam-like substance. Engraved at end of joint "MONTAGUE BROS & CO/LONDON".
(.4) Wooden case with two metal latches. Lined with dark blue velvet. Case is rectangular, with rounded lid.
