CLOTHES & PANTS HANGER, Metal & wood, ‘BOAN BROS PERTH’

H2007.137

Twisted metal clothes hanger with attached varnished wooden pants holder. Hanger made from 1 strand of 4mm thick wire protruding to each side and bent at the ends to form 39mm wide loop for supporting jacket shoulders. Both loops are joined in the centre where wire is twisted around itself and extends upwards to form a hook for hanging. Two pieces of wood, lined on the inside with red felt, are pressed together to form the pants holder. This is attached to the centre of the metal hanger by a movable metal hinge, which opens and closes the wooden pieces. The hinge has notches etched into it allowing for adjustable hold of the pants. Wood marked on one side '"BOAN BROS' PERTH.'.
