COAT HANGER, Men's Suit

H1987.347

Men's suit hanger, two light brown wooden pieces pressed together to hold the trousers, on the front piece wording in black ink stamped into the wood reads: "GEO. PURSER Tailor BOULDER." On the bottom of back of the wooden piece reads: "MADE IN GERMANY". A strip of red felt on the inside of the wooden pieces protects the clothing. Metal hook has extensions of metal protruding to hold and shape suit jacket. In some parts of the hook area metal is doubled and twisted around resulting in a very sturdy hanger. One moveable piece of metal in working order operates the opening and closing of the trouser press Etched areas of the metal grip the moveable piece for firmer or looser pressing depending on the cloth thickness.
