Hand tinted large format photograph of Phoebe and Margaret Swan, mounted onto brown card. Swan girls wearing yellow dresses with black swan decoration and swan-shaped hats. White edging around photograph has insect damage. Small brown label, bottom RHS on front 'The/ Falk/ STUDIOS/ 118 WILLIAM ST/ PERTH'. Remants of newspaper adhered to back of mount. Dark, impressed marks along rear edges of mount. 'PHOEBE & MARGARET SWAN/ TAKEN AT GOVERNOR'S BALL/ AT GOVERNMENT HOUSE 1911' handwritten in black on back of mount.
