Bible with black leather cover, with overhanging edge that folds over pages of bible. Impressed on front cover in gold "Holy Bible/ Phoebe Swan./ Xmas. 1908." Impressed in gold on spine "Holy/ Bible/ OXFORD". Pages have semicircles cut out at start of each chaper, with a black label with the first three letters of chaper name. Message written on second page of bible in black ink "With love from/ Dad & mother/ Xmas 1908.". Purple stamp on third page at bottom "J.W. BARNARD, Barrack Street Perth". Pages edged in gold and red. Thin black cotton tape marker attached to top centre of spine.
