Small rectangular wood veneer block with metal face - the words 'Legislative Council/ Northern Territory' surrounding a coat of arms. A kangaroo and emu holding shield. Plants and flowers are coming from a stem and branches on which they stand. Above their heads is a star and below them is the word 'AUSTRALIA' in an banner. The plate is attached by four small nails to block.
