Brass pinion wire held in a cardboard cylinder. Paper stuck to the container reads 'BRASS PIN WIRE/ HARD DRAWN, IN 6 IN. LENGTHS/ SIZE ASSTD/ MADE IN ENGLAND'. Pinion wire was used to make pins for brooches etc.
