TIN, VELVET SOAP

Rectangular shaped tin for Velvet Soap. Family size 1.5kg NET. Colourful design using bright red, dark blue, light blue, yellow and white. Inscription on lid reads 'VELVET/ PURE SOAP/ LITTLE/ LABOUR/ GREATER EASE/ 1900 COMMEMORATIVE YEAR 1985/ CONTAINS 12 TABLETS'.Similar design almost identical on the vertical front and left/ right sides. The only variation is the inscription 'GUARANTEED/ PERFECTLY PURE,/ GENUINE AND FREE/ FROM ADULTERATION/ This was the LEVER BROS promise when we first made soap in 1885. Today/ Lever & Kitchen strict quality control/ established all those years ago, means that/ VELVET continues as a product of highest quality.
On the back side is the 'USE INSTRUCTION' and on the bottom: 'VELVET GUARANTEE/ L & K VELVET/ Lever & Kitchen Pty Ltd/ 71 York Street/ (GPO BOX 7075)/ Sydney NSW 2000'.
