H1995.1406

Two stiff white linen sheets; still in original wrapping with original labels. Paper label reads: '...GAL' (probably REGAL) over a picture of a tiger. Next to this is the Union Jack and below this reads 'BRITISH INDIA'.
Bottom left corner is a pink box - in blue reads 'SIZE'. Written in pencil beside this: '54 x 90 17/6 Pr'.
Bottom right - 'SHEETING/ GUARANTEED/ 99.6% PURE COTTON'.
Sheets are tied together with gold edged orange ribbon; stamped on these: 'GUARANTEED BRITISH SHEETS & SHEETING'. Under one of these is a red piece of paper in the shape of a wax seal which reads 'THE/ FINLAY SHEET/ GUARANTEED'.
