WRISTWATCH

H1994.129

Wristwatch, gold-coloured, with black painted face featuring white numerals. The numerals are of a bold font. Within the numerical circle is a smaller circle and and hard to mark out seconds. Inscribed on the face is the same marking point: 'THE LEITCH/ IS JEWEL LEVER'. The glass covering the face is missing, as is the band. The back is deeply pitted from corrosion . The name 'R.C. Young' has been carved on the back, but is now virtually indistinguishable. The original gold-coloured plating has almost entirely disappeared.
