BANNER SKETCH
H1993.60
Pencil sketch on paper. Shows man and woman(?) working together. Man (background) is kneeling beside an upright cylinder and rectangular-shaped object flat on the ground. From the top of the cylinder a pipe extends, which he is holding with both hands. The woman (foreground), who is also kneeling, is holding the other end of the pipe with her right hand; the pipe is aimed at a triangular catching device, which the woman is holding in her left hand by means of a long handle. She is wearing bib and brace overalls, and an undergarment beneath with sleeves rolled up. The man appears to be wearing some sort of long-sleeved cover-all. The sketch is signed: 'LS 88'.
