DOCUMENT, permit to board ships

H1993.119

The permits are in a black cloth folder, one permit held in place by a silver metal clip. The permits are the same vintage and were used by workers to show they were authorised to board ships. This was a national security regulation in force during the second world war. The owners of the permits were Donald Gillan and Victor Carlson.
