5 seals, all with turned wood handles, circular brass heads marked "STATE ELECTORAL DEPARTMENT W.A." Each has a number: a. 593 b. 606 c. 1240 d. 1247 e. 1250. These numbers correspond to number of the ballot box allocated to a particular polling station. The seals were used by electoral officers to seal full ballot boxes for shipment from polling stations to counting central electoral office.
