STENCILS

Two boxes of stencils for H90.46 a-v. See also H90.49, H90.50, H90.52, H90.53, H90.54. a. Box of fifty stencils. The top is decorated in a pattern of rows of red and white inverted triangles and reads "50 STENCILS / DESIGNED / FOR QUALITY PRINTING / RONEO ALCATEL". One end advises "NOVATYPE PRODUCT CODE 01006". The underside has a split colour red and white square with "RONEO ALCATEL" and printing stating "RONEO ALCATEL LIMITED - ROMFORD - ESSEX / MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN". It is also stamped "T1" within a circle and, nearby, in thicker print, "348". Inside the box are the stencils which have a header of circular and rectangular perforations and "RONEO ALCATEL / NOVATYPE" and the red and white "RONEO / ALCATEL" symbol. Across from this on the page are four boxes with "DATE / DEPT JOB NO / TYPED BY / PROOFED BY / NO OF COPIES / TYPE OF PAPER / OPERATOR" and "REQUIRED BY". All printing is in red. There is a fine paper top page, at the head measured in tenths of an inch for Elite and Pica setting. Pica reads "10, 20, 30" through to "80", while Elite is marked "12, 24, 36, 48" to "96". At the sides, the pages are numbered in 4/10cm graduations and are numbered between 1 and 75. There are in addition, dotted lines marked "A5" and "A6" and on the lower section, "8" x 10" / A4 / 8" x 13"" with numerals 654...0 running down the page and repeated twice. The second sheet is black carbon, the third is a plain paper backing sheet with a thumb hole at the centre. b. Box of fifty stencils for a Roneo copier. The box is red and white; on one half there is a crown with stylised feathers, on the other, "RONEO VICKERS / STENCILS / DESIGNED FOR QUALITY PRINTING". One end reads "FOR STYLE READ OTHER END", the other, "50 RONEO VICKERS STENCILS / NOVATYPE 385X / PRODUCT CODE 1014". A small crown with feathers is printed on the reverse and beneath, "RONEO VICKERS LIMITED, ROMFORD, ESSEX / MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN A MEMBER OF THE VICKERS GROUP". All the stencil pages are printed in blue and the header, the the fine paper top page, the carbon and the backing pages are printed and set out as in (a.).
