GOLF SCORE CARD
H1990.224
Royal Perth Golf Club score card. On the front are the "LOCAL RULES"; on the back are the details of ladies' days, handicaps, and "MATCH PLAY". The card is one piece folded in two. The centre contains the details of the strokes taken at each hole, the nett score being "12/68". It is signed by the marker, the player and dated. At the top is the players name "Hudson Taylor" and the handicap "12". The bottom right corner is also stamped "ROYAL PERTH GOLF CLUB (INC)" and has the following written across it: "Certified that this card / was returned in a / stroke competition". It is signed and dated "19/4/58". The subfile contains a newspaper clipping (undated, but presumably from the next day or two) stating how Hudson Taylor scored a brilliant success in the Stroke Medal at Royal Perth with "80-12-68". Another newspaper clipping in the subfile is entitled "Amazing Golf Played / By Hudson Taylor". It is undated but appears to relate to a different occasion.
