a. Box. Lid is painted blue and has a large label on the top depicting buildings presumably made with the various Bayko building sets. There are castles, various houses, a railway station, etc. On the edge of the lid is a small label with the information 'BAYKO No.1 BUILDING SET'. There are two smaller boxes inside the main box which hold specific pieces. Inside the box is a quality control label with the maker's packer's and checker's numbers, and the address for written complaints (manufacturer). b. The building pieces. There are two large green bases, a roof, two roof pieces, two roof ends, and assorted windows (11), doors(2), wall pieces(65) and chimneys?(6). The toys were used by Miss Frances Rogers. Miss Rogers, born on 19 Oct 1904, went to Teacher's College in 1930 and joined the Education Department of W.A. in 1934. Between 1934 and her retirement in 1967, she taught at various country schools, took special classes for deaf and dumb children in Mosman Park, and classes for mentally and physically disabled children in Leederville. She also made and purchased a large collection of puppets which were used as teaching aids. These are accessioned under numbers H88/613 to H89/307 (not inclusive).
