Large oval plate decorated in imari palette with green leaves. Pattern of peonies and medallions with flowers, leaves and birds. Marks on base: impressed: "(symbol) DERBY", red over-glaze: "(crown) (symbol)" and "198". Printed mark similar to Godden page 203 number 1268 1878-90 but no year cyphe Impressed mark not mentioned in Tax Incentives. Av. Valuation $275. References Ref. G.A.
