a. 5 plates. Circular with scalloped edge. Porcelain with gold edge & transfer decoration. Deep blue sections at intervals around edge. Transfer pattern of flowers in gold with colours added by hand over the glaze. Mark "Portland Vase \ three stars \ WEDGWOOD \ Star \ ENGLAND". Under-glaze black printed mark. Some also have impressed Wedgwood mark. b. As above in triangular shape with faint impressed mark. c. As a. in square shape. Very faint impressed mark. Ref. G.A.
