White body, slightly bluish glaze. Lobed edge, well in centre, footrim. Painted with cockeral and birds in extensive landscapes within foliate border. Gilded edge. Crossed sword mark on base in underglaze blue and impressed '53'. This mark used from c.1818-1924 by Meissen.
