Thin, white body, highly translucent. Clear, soft glaze. Decorated all over bowl in ferric red, green and gilt, painted flower heads and foliate scrolls. No factory mark but pattern number. 'No 1382' Godden notes that Minto pattern numbers had reached approx. 1,000 by 1816 when production of porcelain ceased. Bone china production began again 1824. Godden, British Porcelain, page 303. Christie's catalogue (16 Aug. 1979, lot 229a) also identified as Minton.
