Pair of gold coloured metal pince enz with spring bridge. Reddish brown leather case.

Additional information 24.4.98:
Pince nez are 'Astig' style with a helical spring bridge.
Case is crocodile leather, open end, slip-in design.
Astig pince nez first manufactured in the 1890s and remained popular until the 1940s. The advantage was that the bridge was ajdustable and suitable for newly designed astigmatic lenses held in rigid horizontal position.
